Past

Daylen started his life countless years ago. He came into the world long before the great ancient civilizations came into power. It was a time when nomadic tribes ruled the lands. His father was a great hunter of his tribe. Some even said the greatest. He was desired by many, but he only ever had eyes for one woman--Daylen's mother. However, it was not just member of their own tribe that showed an interest in Daylen's father. The leader of another tribe caught sight of his father upon a hunt and decided that she wanted him. She was used to getting whatever man she wished within her bed, but Daylen's father resisted her advances. He told her that he only wanted to share the bed of one woman--Daylen's mother.

The leader of this other tribe was not accustom to being told no, and the fact that Daylen's father dared to outraged her to the point that she decided the only way she can make him pay for such an insult is by destroying his tribe. She attacked in the dead of the night. She killed or enslaved every member of the tribe that she came across--including Daylen's parents. They died trying to protect Daylen against the attackers of the tribe. The leader of the attacking tribe discovered Daylen underneath the body of his mother. She immediately knew whom child he was. There was a part of her that debated just killing the newborn baby, but she decided to take Daylen as her personal slave instead. It was shame that Daylen's father was no longer alive. She would have enjoyed forcing him to watch her turn Daylen into her pleasure toy.

She was an extremely cruel mistress. Her cruelty towards Daylen was not just because he was the son of the one man whom refused her. She had always been such. She enjoyed torturing her slaves to the point that they collapsed from the pain. Many times she torture them to death, but there were some she managed to keep from crossing that line with. Daylen was one such slave. In fact, he was her favorite. She would push him to his physical limit than allow him to rest. The abuse filled Daylen with such anger and hatred. He hated his mistress. He hated the tribe that he had been forced to live in, and he wanted nothing more than to destroy them all. Than he met her--the girl whom would melt the ice that he encased his own heart with.

Her name was Avarialla. She was the daughter of his mistress. She was more beautiful than her mother was in every way, and she was nothing like her mother. She did not find pleasure in the torment of others. She was a kind woman that cared about those around her. A trait that cause many within the tribe--especially the lower members--to grow very fond of her. With the support of these these members and her own ability, Avarialla had enough power to overthrow her mother if she wished. Her mother aware of this fact decided to engage her daughter to the leader of another tribe--a man whom was just as cruel and sadistic as Avarialla's mother was. This arranged marriage was not to make the two tribes allies, but to remove Avarialla from the picture and makes sure she never ever attempt to overthrow her mother.

However, Daylen and Avarialla ruined that plan by running away together. They lived happily with each other for awhile, but that man Avarialla had been engaged to decided search every inch of the land to find her. He and is men eventually came upon the gave that Daylen and Avarialla had been staying within. In order to protect Daylen from her betrothed's wrath, Avarialla lead them away from the cave. They eventually caught her, and she was raped and tortured. However, she was willing to endure this if it meant that Daylen could live a life free from her mother's cruelty, but for Daylen the idea of leaving Avarialla in the hands of her betrothed was worse than being enslaved to her mother. So, he went after her.

The man whom Avarialla was engaged to was prepared for this. He thought subduing Daylen was going to be easy enough. Daylen had been a slave his entire life he wouldn't be able to hold his own against the man Avarialla was suppose to marry, but that was exactly what he did. Whether it was sheer determination to save the woman he loved or natural talent, there were a few times that it appeared Daylen was going to win, but Avarialla's betrothed managed to gain the upper hand to bring a killing blow down upon Daylen. However, this blow would not land upon Daylen. Avarialla leaped between the two men and took the blow that had been intended for Daylen herself. Daylen became filled with rage over the lose of the woman he loved.

He decided to kill everyone from both tribe whom he held responsible for her death. He annihilated every last member of both tribe, and it appeared that his thirst for blood had no end. While he was doing this Avarialla with her last breath prayed to God. She asked God to spare Daylen's soul. She would gladly take his place in hell. God heard her prayer and responded. He promised to spare Daylen's soul if Avarialla became a servant of God. Avarialla agreed. She would have agreed to anything if it meant saving Daylen. However, the two of them couldn't stop Daylen from striking his own deal. After killing both tribes, Daylen decided to kill himself. During the process he prayed to the devil. He promised eternal servitude to the devil in exchange for Avarialla's protection in every life that she was born into. The Queen of hell agreed to these terms. More than that she agreed to allow Daylen to be with Avarialla if he ever discover one of her incarnations. Daylen became the sin of wrath.

Present

Centuries have passed since Daylen had made his deal with the devil, and he has fully embraced being a sin and all the responsibilities that comes with it. It is his duty to convince people to damn themselves to hell through the sin that he is an embodiment of, but his desire to convince people to sin has more to do than completing his duty to hell. It is, also, how he feeds. He gains energy and power from those whom surrenders to his sin, and the more they do so the more he can feed off of them.

He can often be found with his fellow sins. They are like a family. No, a pack that hunt together. They can hunt alone, and will if they find themselves hungry away from the others. They just find enjoyment doing it together. They latch onto a single victim, and draining this person of every last drop of his or her energy. Being within a room with a sin can be quite an experience for a person. Their very presence calls forth the feeling that the sin represents, and if Daylen or the other sins turns this into an active ability rather than a passive one it is challenging for one not to surrender to it--more so if all of the sins are focusing upon a single victim.
